PLATELET RICH PLASMA THERAPY

Platelet rich plasma, is human blood that is spun down and separated producing a concentration of platelets above normal values. Platelets are the clotting cells of our blood, but they also have great potential in enhancing healing of muscle, tendon, and ligaments.

How it is done ?

When can I expect relief ?

Pain relief typically starts to occur within three to four weeks and symptoms continue to improve over a period of three to six months following a PRP injection.

Because PRP injections are intended to promote healing or growth, you may not notice an immediate difference after receiving the injections. However, in several weeks or months, you may observe that the area is healing faster than you would have expected if you hadn’t received PRP injections.
